Oscars: Best and Worst Dressed

The Oscars were held in Los Angeles, California on March 2, 2014.

At the annual Red Carpet before each ceremony, the stars walk the famous carpet with their dates in their designer dresses.  Many people rocked their dress,  but there are a few who had a dress “don’t”.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrived in style, his tuxedo matching her designer gown.  Jolie’s gown was stunning on her, the shining silver long-sleeved masterpiece was elegant as she sported it along the famous red carpet.

Making their way along the carpet as well was Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh.  Pharrell wore a normal tuxedo jacket, but his pants were a different story.  He wore Bermuda styled pants, with his calves and knees showing, not normal tux pants.  This brought huge talk throughout the night.  His date, Helen, also wore a tuxedo, but with a white jacket and normal black pants.

Kate Hudson arrived in a V neck cut, long-sleeved, white gown.  Over top of the shoulders, there was a shawl and shoulder pads.  She pulled off the style very elegantly, and definitely deserved a spot on the best dressed list.

One person who should not be on the best dressed list is Margot Robbie.  She wore a long black strapless gown, and black lipstick.  She looked like she was going to a funeral, therefore the outfit of choice was not very red carpet worthy.

Sandra Bullock arrived to the red carpet glamorously in a stunning navy blue gown with a little sash going across the front.  She looked absolutely stunning and definitely deserved a spot on the best dressed list.

Lupita Nyong’o arrived in a light blue v-neck o her first Oscar’s awards ceremony.  She was nominated for “Twelve Years  A Slave”.  The dress did not compliment her body at all.  The dress was very beautiful and custom designed, but she did not have the assets to fill the dress correctly.

Overall, the Oscar’s were very successful, and there were many beautiful dresses and people surrounding the city of Los Angeles.
