Just last year a new frozen custard shop opened up in Cranberry called The Meadows.

The Meadows is located close to the Cranberry Park and across the street from Dairy Queen.

As we all know winter is slowly coming to an end and to kick off this upcoming spring season, The Meadows will be starting a new concept where every ten custards bought, they will donate a quart of custard to the Pittsburgh soup kitchen. The Pittsburgh soup kitchen has many locations in the downtown Pittsburgh area. The soup kitchen helps to feed those who don’t have enough money to supply food for their families.

The Meadows wants you to stop buy and enjoy some delicious custard why also feeling good about your self because you are also helping others at the same time.

The owner of The Meadows, Joe Bier, said, “Our frozen custard is made fresh every few hours so that the flavor remains delicious no matter what time of the day you visit us. We offer 4 frozen custard flavors every day – Vanilla, Chocolate, and 2 rotating flavors of the day. If custard isn’t your thing, we also offer 2 flavors of frozen yogurt – an extremely tasty fat free/sugar free vanilla and a lowfat weekly rotating flavor. We also offer 8-10 different mouth-watering italian ice flavors, which can be eaten by themself, mixed with other flavors, or even complimented with a scoop of frozen custard as a gelati. Other menu items include many favorites such as sundaes, milkshakes, arctic swirls, banana splits, strawberry shortcakes, apple dumplings, black cows (root beer float), orange fluff, brownie sundaes, chocolate cookie & chocolate chip sandwiches, frozen custard pies, and frozen custard cakes.”

The Meadows offers a flavors of the day calendar, so you can go when your favorite flavor is offered. Some of their flavors include s’mores, birthday cake, dirty turtle, and chocolate mousse. They offer many other  flavors as stated before.

Mr. Bier also said, “Feel free to stop by one of our walk-up windows, or our drive-thru window if you are in a hurry or the weather is unfavorable.”
