How to Survive Allergy Season

Each year in the beginning of April, the allergy season is high in “full bloom” and pollen is the main cause of this.
Pollen is the microscopic powdery substance on flowers that blows through the air during the warm months of the year. The pollen then swirls through the air onto different plants…and people, cars, clothing, pets, etc.
Weather changes determine the amount of pollen in the air, and different plants have a specific pollination period.
The best way to get rid of allergies, or to get them under control, is to take allergy medicine on a regular basis. This will control your allergies and calm down the symptoms that you have.
Other people are allergic to pets. When the air is dry, the pet’s skin gets dry, and therefore they shed more, causing the allergies to become more powerful. Many families have a pet, and when there is someone in the family with an allergy, it can be a problem. Keeping the house cleaner is a good way to help control the allergies. If the house is vacuumed often and the pets hair is cleaned up, it can help control the allergy.
During spring when the allergies are at their peak, make sure that the air in your house is clean and that you clean often. Once pollen gets into your house, it will be very hard to get out. Wash your rugs often because the pollen could get stuck in the tiny places on the rug, and it will be difficult to get out.
Keeping windows closed is very important. In order to keep the pollen out of your house, you must keep everything closed. When the windows are opened, and the wind blows pollen will get into your house and be difficult to remove.
To save yourself this allergy season, make sure to clean your house often, keep the air humid so your pets don’t shed as much, and keep all of the windows and doors closed because pollen is a pain to remove.
