Although the team has won 3 out of their last 4 games, showing improvement in their play. As the season winds down the boys hope to win their last two games of the season. The boys have played hard all season, even though their record may not show their hard work on the court the scores do. Most of the losses this seasons had come from only a difference of just a few points, some even being a one point loss.
In the next two weeks the team with face off away at Hampton, they will also face Butler for their last home game and last game of the season. With only two games left, there isn’t time to improve their record drastically, but nevertheless they hope to end the season with a 6-7 record being only one game away from an even record.
With the end of the season in sight the team is looking forward to a better year next year, with most players getting the chance to play varsity next year. Some players will return to the JV team next year trying to lead the team to a winning season.
Over the season in 9 games the boys have scored 374 points and only giving up 350 points, they have shown a strong defensive game and a high performance offense. Never losing a game in a blowout but losing down to the wire, giving all fans in attendance a exciting and enjoyable game to watch night in and night out.
Although the JV season will soon come to an end, the varsity team will continue their season in the playoffs, with dreams off going to the WPIAl finals. Coming off of last season ending only number four in the standings but getting knocked out in the first round, they hope to improve their play for an even better end to the post season then they had last year.
