Seneca Valley Girls’ Lacrosse Season Is Off to a Solid Start
The Seneca Valley girls’ JV team had been undefeated until recently.
They currently are holding a record of 6-1-1. Their one tie was played against Pine Richland, the final score of that game played was 4-4. They do not have any shutouts so far this year.
As for the the Seneca Valley girls’ varsity team, they have not been doing as well. They currently hold a record of 5-6.
Emily Hause is a ninth grade student and plays left defense on the JV team. Her record for goals scored this year is six so far. Ms. Hause says,”It has been such a great season so far.” The girls have many upcoming games and would love to have some school support.
I also got a chance to interview a girls’ varsity team player, Mary Malone. She has scored the most goals so far on the team. Her record is nine goals. Last year she ended the season with thirty-seven goals, also being the most on her team last year. She commented on why she thinks varsity isn’t doing as well as Junior Varsity so far: “We just need to practice communicating more with one another and get the ball back together. We also need to practice being more aggressive, I think.”
