With Super Bowl LII being a few days away, the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots have both had unique paths to the championship game.

Going into the playoffs even as the number one team, the Eagles were not expected to make a deep run with their MVP quarterback Carson Wentz being out since week 14. It was now up to veteran backup quarterback Nick Foles as the Eagles started out proving they belong by defeating the defending NFC champion Atlanta Falcons in the Divisional round, then later welcoming in a Minnesota Vikings team into Lincoln Financial Field just one win away from going back to their first Super Bowl since 2005.

The Eagles were once again the underdog but that didn’t get in their way as they put up thirty-eight unanswered points against the number one defense in the NFL, winning the game 38-7 and earning a trip to Minnesota for a chance at their first ever Super Bowl win. Over in the AFC, the New England Patriots were as healthy as ever on a mission to win their sixth championship, tying the record for the most ever. Easily breezing passed the Tennessee Titans 35-14 they were flying high going into the next week as the Jacksonville Jaguars flew into Foxboro with the second best defense looking to dethrone Tom Brady and his high-powered Patriot offense.

With the Patriots trailing at halftime 14-10, they went on to get shut out in the third quarter and lose their best receiver Rob Gronkowski. Being down 10 points in the fourth quarter, and down a key player, it was only fitting that Tom Brady would lead his team down the field for another fourth quarter comeback win as he did. The Patriots prevailed winning the game 24-20 as they are now about to play their eighth Super Bowl in the Brady-Belichick era. With this matchup ahead, who will leave Minnesota as the champs? The quick striking offense of this New England dynasty, or these hard-hitting underdogs from Philly.
