Democrats apologizing to President Trump?
Donald Trump gave the 3rd longest State of the Union in the last 50 years, and both sides of the house are praising President Trump for his speech this Tuesday.
Well known Trump critic and GOP poll-holder Frank Luntz is apologizing or his past remarks. He ran such polls as, “Clinton v. Trump,” and, “Approval ratings of Trump.” He fought back against Donald on twitter, which didn’t end as planned. He made the comment that, “Any time I give Donald any criticism he immediately fights back.”
Luntz says, “Even in foreign policy and national security this speech is a perfect blend of strength and empathy. These heroic stories break our hearts, but sturdy our resolve. This is the Trump his voters wanted him to be,” Luntz continued.
Some Democrats are opposed to this, however. The MSNBC show “Morning Joe,” co-host Mika Brezezinski, says, “I think because he’s literally screwed everybody in that room over a few times too many. He’s been vulgar,” she said. “He’s been racist and accused one of the senators in that room of giving sexual favors for money. He’s insulted the wife of a Republican senator in that room in the worst way possible.”
The response from the Democrats focused, not on bipartisanship, but on obstructing President Trump’s administration, no matter what the bill or offer. Democrat Chuck Schumer, called upon Rep. Joe Kennedy III to respond to the State of the Union, and he did by fact-checking the President. He also attempted to bring home the, “Core-Members” that he states they lost during the home stretch of the 2016 election. Polls show that 7 out of 10 members thought the President’s State of the Union was bringing the country back together again. On top of that, 44% of Democrats polled approved of Trump after his speech, up from 24%. His approval rating from the entire country is up 10 points after his speech. The Democrats seem to be at a turmoil in deciding whether to work together with the President or continue to obstruct his actions. “I can’t imagine who would want to clap like this, (claps wildly) for this dictator…” -Mika Brzezinski states in a rude and disapproving tone.
