SV Boys Soccer Still Keeps the Undefeated Record.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, the boys’ varsity soccer team defeated Shaler High School with a final score 6-0.
After defeating yet another boys’ soccer team, the Seneca Valley boys varsity team now holds a record of 9-0, leaving them undefeated.
The six goals were scored by Joe DeAugustine, Jared Myers, Austin Mathew, Mike DeMichelle and Brad Banks, who scored twice almost having a hat trick.
With Shaler’s overall record of 2-10-1 and Seneca’s being 9-0, it wasn’t a very difficult team to beat. When asked if Shaler was a hard team to beat, Jorge Olan said, ” No, not really, they were very disorganized.” Olan has played soccer for many years. This will be his fourth year for playing for Seneca. So far this year he has only scored twice, but he has had many assists. Olan also feels Seneca has a good chance to win the WPIAL this year and he said, “We are very well balanced and have a lot of great players on the team. Also we have a sense of how to play soccer.”
