The 52^nd Super Bowl, or Super Bowl LII, is being held Sunday February 4, 2018.  The game is being played between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles.  This is the patriots 10^th time to the big game, while it is only the 3^rd for the Eagles.

The Super Bowl is the championship game that determines the best NFL team for that year. The winners of the AFC and the NFC clash for the luxurious Vince Lombardi Trophy. The team representing the AFC is the New England Patriots.  The Patriots have been the football juggernaut of the past decade and are back at it on Sunday to collect yet another Super Bowl title.  The challenger from the NFC is the Philadelphia Eagles, who have been dubbed the underdogs throughout the playoffs even though they are the first seeded team in their conference.

Football may be the whole reason for this legendary event but some people watch the big game for other reasons. The Super Bowl Halftime Show and the Super Bowl commercials bring in many non-sports fans to view the event.  The Super Bowl Halftime show is a performance by a big celebrity, this year it is Justin Timberlake, whose sole purpose is to entertain the audience while the game is at halftime.  Also, the commercials are created to be the best for the year and are specifically made for Super Bowl Sunday.

Whatever happens in Super Bowl LII, it will be historic. The Patriots will tie the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl win record with 6 wins and the Eagles will join many other teams in securing their first Super Bowl title.

The results are in; The Eagles have defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. This marks the 1^st Super Bowl title for Philadelphia and the 5^th loss for New England.  No one believed that the upset could be pulled off but the Eagles gave it their all and triumphantly beat Tom Brady and the Patriots.
